In 'The Rise of Skywalker' we learned that Rey's father was the son of Emperor Palpatine, but the answers as to how the body was conceived and how he ever escaped his father's grasp remained ambiguous. In this video we cover how Darth Vader inadvertently helped Dathan (Rey's father) to get away from Exegol and go on to start a family.
