How Christians Should Think About Miscarriage
Miscarriage is a sad but increasingly common experience. But as we examine scripture, it is clear that God uses miscarriage as a form of judgment and a picture of his people's failure to bring forth spiritual fruit. Because of this, it is important that as Christians we think about miscarriage properly, so that it does not become entirely about us and our loss. This does not mean that miscarriage is not painful or should not be grieved, but it does allow us to bring our grief into perspective and to keep it from overwhelming us. We are more than our fleshly bodies and the world that God created points to his glorious nature and to the promises that he has for his people. Even in miscarriage and sorrow, we can have peace that God does all things for the good of his people.
