How did celebrities become so huge? Why is "stan culture" so dominant today? How did we get here? Today I wanted to attempt to answer these questions and explain how the modern celebrity became God-like with their fan bases. From Taylor Swift and Beyonce to Elvis and The Beatles, celebrity culture has dominated American Society for over half a century, but you may be surprised to learn why that really is. In this video, I will attempt to give an in-depth analysis of celebrity culture, psychological projection, parasocial relationships, and how American values at large tend to center around the famous and wealthy.
