This LEGO Gobbler automaton is part of a series of kinetic sculptures, each representing a capital sin. A beautiful woman endlessly eats from a plate full of icecream (dumplings? potatoes? pasta?), and represents Gluttony. #legoautomaton #kineticsculpture #automaton #gluttony #greatballcontraption #eating
To design this automaton, I took inspiration from 18-19th century Black Forest Dumpling Eater automata that decorated clocks and performed their eating sequence once per hour.
This model could also be seen as a small Great Ball Contraption loop (GBC loop).
