How big is the map in Shadowbane: Resurgence? Let's run across the map to find out. Well, actually there are three maps. They are about the same size, so I will only show you this map called Vorringia. The other two maps are called Aerynth and Dalgoth. The maps have a lot of water. This map Vorringia also has a lot of water and you can't swim for very long. I can not swim across the entire map unfortunately. What I can do, is run across the three biggest islands to give you an idea of the size of the game world. These islands are called The Sinking Isles, Vorringheim and Jov Hir'akar.
The game was released in 2003. It was created by Wolfpack Studios and it was published by Ubisoft. But, as often happens with MMORPGs, it shut down in 2008. Then it was playable again thanks to a reboot and then it shut down again in 2009. But now you can play this old school MMORPG again, thanks to a Chinese developer. It's on Steam and it's free to play.
The graphics are still old school and you can't even get a high resolution. That's why you see a narrow screen in the video.
Moving your character is done by clicking on the ground in front of you or by clicking on the mini map. You can not run by pushing the forward key.
