How Arizona Scientists Are Tackling Extreme Heat
Subscribe: http://go.arizona.edu/yt-subscribe
Extreme heat is the nation’s leading weather-related killer, with major impacts in Arizona. The Southwest Urban Corridor Integrated Field Laboratory (Southwest IFL) brings together the University of Arizona, ASU, and NAU to study how heat and air quality affect communities through field data, traffic counts, and local partnerships.
Their findings help cities strengthen climate and heat resilience plans statewide. The Arizona Institute for Resilience continues this work through its Heat Resilience Initiative, connecting researchers, students, and communities to tackle extreme heat across Arizona.
