How is an AI agent's memory actually formed? Anders explains the memory formation pipeline in 60 seconds: at the end of a session (via hooks), the agent distils the useful facts and procedures out of the transcript so they are not lost. Then it applies governance (redacting PII and secrets), enriches the memory with metadata (which agent, which task, when), creates a vector embedding, links it back to the source episode, and stores it in the database alongside its related data, ready for the next agent to reuse.
Filmed on the floor at the AI Engineer World's Fair.
