Jenks Fire & Rescue calls it a Culture of Excellence: every recruit trained identically through an in-house academy, held to a standard above the minimum.

That standard was tested when a structure fire's second floor collapsed and two firefighters went down. Driver Connor Schultz called the mayday and made the rescue in under four minutes, having trained both rookies himself.
