The way a lawnmower's flywheel ignition coil pack works is essential to producing the electrical spark that the engine needs to ignite. This system's flywheel, which is held in place by strong magnets, is its central component. The trigger coil is usually situated close to the flywheel, which creates a magnetic field surrounding it as it rotates in tandem with the engine's motion. As the magnets pass past, the trigger coil acts as a sensor, picking up on changes in the magnetic field.

The main coil is subsequently informed of this. The battery or magneto's energy is gathered by the primary coil, which then converts it into high-voltage pulses. This energy is quickly built up by the primary coil when it receives a signal from the trigger coil.

Mutual induction is then used to transfer the higher voltage from the primary coil to the secondary coil. The voltage is further amplified by the secondary coil, which has a lot more windings than the primary coil. Through the process of electromagnetic induction, which produces a considerably higher voltage in the secondary coil due to the main coil's fluctuating magnetic field, this amplification is accomplished.

The voltage discharges via the spark plug and produces a high-energy spark across the electrodes when it exceeds a crucial threshold. The power stroke of the engine is started when this spark ignites the air-fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber. The complex interaction of the flywheel, trigger coil, primary coil, and secondary coil guarantees dependable ignition and effective running of the lawnmower engine in this manner.

Have a great day
