Using the Creality RaptorX, specialists digitally preserved fragile cultural heritage artifacts that have survived for nearly 7,000 years.
This project combines high-precision 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and digital preservation workflows to help museums archive and study ancient artifacts in new ways.
In collaboration with the Museum of History and Ethnography in Târgu Neamț, Romania, the team worked with prehistoric ceramics, figurines, and archaeological objects to create highly accurate 3D models for research, education, and long-term preservation.
Through advanced scanning technologies, even the smallest details — subtle tool marks, surface textures, and traces left by ancient craftsmen — can now be digitally preserved before time causes further damage.
The workflow featured in this project includes:
• High-precision 3D scanning
• Dense geometry capture
• Photogrammetry texture reconstruction
• Interactive 3D visualization
• Digital archiving for cultural heritage preservation
Once digitized, these artifacts can be studied without repeatedly handling the original objects, while museums can also make collections more accessible through online 3D experiences and educational platforms.
Cultural heritage belongs to both the past and the future.
With tools like the Creality RaptorX, history can be preserved, studied, and shared in new ways for future generations.
