House of the Dragon Season 3 is better than Season 2. The problem is... that's not saying much.
In this video, I take a deep dive into House of the Dragon Season 3, breaking down what improved, what still doesn't work, and why the series continues to struggle to reach the heights of Game of Thrones.
To the show's credit, Season 3 finally gives many of its characters meaningful development and clear arcs. Major players across both Team Black and Team Green evolve in significant ways, the story moves forward, and the war becomes increasingly devastating. Yet despite all of this, I found myself less invested than I ever was during the peak years of Game of Thrones.

In this review and analysis, I explore the biggest issue facing House of the Dragon: despite having compelling lore, strong performances, and characters who technically grow and change, the series often lacks the engaging storylines, character dynamics, and emotional investment that made Game of Thrones such a cultural phenomenon.
