In episode 4 of season 2 of House of the Dragon, Rhaenys Targaryen, "The Queen Who Never Was," meets her end during the Battle of Rook's Rest when Aemond and Vhagar attack her and Meleys. This battle marks the first major casualty in the war between the Greens and the Blacks and sets up a troubling dynamic between Aemond and Aegon. Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen.
