In the latest episode of *House of the Dragon*, "The Red Sowing," Rhaenyra Targaryen gathers her family's illegitimate offspring in hopes they can bond with riderless dragons. This risky venture succeeds for two "dragonseeds": Addam, a humble shipwright, and Hugh, who emerges as a dragonrider after a chaotic and deadly dragon rodeo. While Addam pledges his loyalty to Rhaenyra, earning her favor despite the council's disapproval, Hugh survives a harrowing encounter with Vermithor, securing his place among the dragonriders. Meanwhile, young Lord Oscar Tully faces the challenges of leadership and loyalty amidst ongoing tensions and conflicts.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen. Following King Aegon II’s coronation and the death of Queen Rhaenyra’s son, House Targaryen is divided in two. In King’s Landing, Aegon II rules from the Iron Throne, supported by Alicent and the Green Council, under the protection of the largest dragon in Westeros. From exile on Dragonstone, Queen Rhaenyra and her Black Council consider their next move. Civil war looms as both sides seek support from the great houses of Westeros, ultimately amassing armies — and dragons.
