The powerhouse ensemble cast features Emma D'Arcy (Hanna, Mothering Sunday, Truth Seekers) as Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One, Sound of Metal, Bates Motel, Slow Horses, Thoroughbreds) as Alicent Hightower, Matt Smith (Doctor Who, The Crown, Morbius, Terminator Genisys, Last Night in Soho) as the volatile Prince Daemon Targaryen, and Ewan Mitchell (The Last Kingdom, Saltburn, World on Fire, Trigger Point) as the terrifying Prince Aemond Targaryen. The massive supporting cast includes Tom Glynn-Carney (Dunkirk, The King, Tolkien, SAS: Rogue Heroes) as the scarred King Aegon II, Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man, Notting Hill, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Kingsman) as Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Judge Dredd, It's a Sin, Line of Duty) as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Fabien Frankel (The Serpent, Last Christmas, NYPD Blue) as Sir Criston Cole, Matthew Needham (Chernobyl, Napoleon, Great Expectations, Ridley Scott’s upcoming Gladiator sequel) as the scheming Larys Strong, and Sonoya Mizuno (Ex Machina, Crazy Rich Asians, La La Land, Devs, Civil War) as Mysaria.
