Hotel Ibis Budget Southampton Centre was one of the cheapest hotels in the area for our Saturday night stay - but still a whopping £130. We thought we had missed the Friday night cruise traffic but unfortunately there was a Norwegian Prima leaving Sunday, hence the hiked up prices for the visiting Americans.
So - not withstanding that it was the cheapest available (by a few pounds), was the saving actually worth it?
We will compare with the adjacent Novotel later in the month.
