In this video our the Klean Team is doing a site visits to a newly built plastic pyrolysis plant which converts waste plastic in high-grade diesel fuel for use in industrial power plants and boilers. This plant has just started it hot trails and commission after its 4-week installation period in March 2018. While the equipment is undergoing rigorous testing and thermal mass balance evaluations locally available feedstocks, staff training is also being done while the rest of the plant nears completion.
This plant was designed on an extremely cost-effective basis however in doing so this plant requires and works best on very specific waste plastics as a primary feedstock and requires consistent operational monitoring versus Klean’s higher-end facilities which operating in fully automatic and continuous format. In the first 2 weeks of operations, the Klean Team discovered some concerning operational issues regarding how the staff was operating the facility, lucky we corrected the issues before any incidents happened.
