A demonstration of how to construct a simple hot air balloon using simple items from around the home: A bin bag, some paper clips, some cardboard, some tape and a hear sources, such as a toaster.
The demonstration can be used to illustrate the basic principles of heat transfer by convection, which has various everyday implications from the Physics of Hot Air Balloons to Meteorology.
