The one taboo that horror games seem to shy away from is full frontal nudity.
We're talking no miraculously-intact underwear or tactfully grown skin folds: full nude enemies. Zoe Delahunty-Light is here to explain the reasoning behind why naked enemies are scarier, and how games like Outlast paved the way for horror in its purest unhinged fashion. The scariest games of all time often have no shortage of blood and gore death animations, but nudity in horror is still seen as a bit of a taboo.
