A review of the brand new Hornby Black 5 released in April 2024. Simon Kohler promised us the "ultimate" Black 5 model, but unfortunately I don't think Hornby have delivered on that promise and there's definitely room for improvement.

The build quality is lacking for a £230 model and I had a number of problems which nearly resulted in me returning it. I was able to fix some of the issues and it's now satisfactory.
