San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance has been working closely with partners to conserve Panamanian golden frogs, an extremely rare species of amphibian thought to be extinct in the wild due to the deadly spread of a fungal disease called chytridiomycosis.

Experts at the San Diego Zoo have had incredible success bringing these frogs back from the brink, and are raising over 150 adolescents that will eventually be incorporated into the Species Survival Plan.
