Over the last decade, a quiet but significant shift has taken place in the stories our culture tells itself. This video traces the shift from the nihilism and ironic detachment that defined prestige storytelling in the early 2000s to the earnest, hope-driven narratives emerging today. Through close readings of Everything Everywhere All At Once, Superman (2025), and Train Dreams, we examine what this cultural turn reveals about our collective hunger for meaning, but we also explore what it might still be missing.
