Synopsis: Hope wakes up from the spell she used to bring back everyone's memories. However, all magic has a price - this one is especially high because of all the changes she made to the spell prior. Her price is that her humanity switch gets flipped. She feeds on Peter and nearly kills him so Stephen Strange tries to reverse her spell and make everyone forget about - basically making it null and void so the effect is reversed. She feels betrayed and hurt - she still believed that they would care about her - and Strange's spell doesn't take.
Peter is fine and he tries to convince her to trust him and turn her humanity back on. He's been able to convince her in the past and she's always trusted him, but with her humanity off and the price of the spell still weighing on her and influencing her, she's resistant. So she pushes Peter away, but he refuses to give up.
Angry at his refusal to leave her alone and their attempts to change her, she kills Strange. Peter goes after the one who killed him and realizes that it was her. He's in shock that she could ever go so far, even with the effects of the spell taking hold. However, her emotions do begin to break through after this act and she battles with her conscience.
Peter finally admits that Hope is gone and she won't be the same girl he fell in love with. And he blames himself. He remembers the promise he made to her before Strange wiped their memories of her and he remembers how upset she was when she faced him and he didn't know her. He thinks he should have remembered somehow.
Hope approaches Peter - Josie has switched on Hope's humanity at this point but Peter doesn't know that (I also didn't have room for the manip, but the VO later is still in the correct tense). Peter believes that Hope is manipulating him and that she truly is gone so he tells her that whatever they had is gone now. He leaves and she is in tears.
She does a summoning spell to talk to Stephen about it. He tells her that he loves her and he isn't ready to say goodbye to her. She tells Peter that her humanity was off but she has to deal with what she did, even though it wasn't her choice. Peter doesn't believe her. But he speaks with Josie who admits that she did flip Hope's switch back. Hope is in denial about what she did to Strange and doesn't want to believe it.
And Peter is there for her. Just like she was there for him after his fight with Mysterio when he woke up in a jail cell in Norway.
Hope is attacked by the Goblin and Peter is there to try to save her. The Goblin wants her switch to flip again and he is about to kill Peter who is protecting an injured Hope. Hope uses her power to free Peter, but one of the bombs goes off.
Hope wakes up and Peter has brought her to his house where he is tending his wounds. Later, they attend Strange's funeral.
