memento mori: remember, you will die.

it's a reminder that's plastered everywhere in persona 3 -- you can't escape it. the game literally tells you, from the moment you click "new game", that you only have one year. and yet i still found myself sobbing when i first played, so many years ago. not because i wasn't expecting it -- somehow, though, i really wasn't -- but because of the beautiful message the came along with it.

"i will embrace the feeling."

i made this video awhile ago as a vent, but wasn't sure i ever wanted to post it, really. today, though, is hope's birthday. i think, if given the chance, she would've loved the message persona 3 has to offer.

i miss her terribly, still. i'm getting there, slowly, but there's not a day that goes by that i don't think of her. thank you for all the years of friendship, hope. you really were the best little sister i could've asked for.
