Hoover Dam Temporarily Closed Due to 150 Ton Cableway System Failure. The Bureau of Reclamation has Temporarily closed public and visitor access. Becasue the system stretches directly over the main access road and parking areas, the site has been shut down to ensure public saftey while contracts evaluate the equipment. We are monitoring the situation for updates.
