From Louis Clark, the conductor/arranger who gave us 'Hooked on Classics', this is a mix of the single from 1983 and a live performance in 2012.
Following on from the hugely successsful records with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, this single was released for Christmas 1983. Almost 30 years later, Louis took 'Hooked On Classics' on tour, this time with the English Pops Orchestra (plus a kids choir for this performance at Bournemouth).
The sound on the 2012 recording was I thought a bit patchy, so I've mixed the two, with the live one mostly on the left channel & the 1983 single on the right. I did the mix for my own Christmas collection, but I really like the medley & how the mix turned out so I thought I'd share it. The enthusiasm of the girl on the far left in the video is endearing!
