Workers Party comrades were in Dundee today alongside representatives from the Russian and Belarus consulates to commemorate our Allied Victory over fascism during WWII and pay our respects to the Soviet and British troops who lost their lives.
Wreathes were laid at a monument dedicated to the 296 sailors and commanders lost on operations from the submarine base at Dundee Harbour, including the 51 Soviet and British soldiers who died aboard the V-1.
We honour their sacrifice by committing ourselves to the struggle against fascism and imperialism, to friendly relations between our nations, and to a world of peace and plenty.
