We proudly honored the transformative power of service and volunteering of Patrick Dempsey at the sixth annual George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards on October 23, 2024 in Washington, D.C.
While many recognize Patrick as a Screen Actors Guild Award winner and Golden Globe nominee for his iconic role as Dr. Derek Shepherd on "Grey’s Anatomy," we are celebrating his incredible impact as the Founder of the Dempsey Center.
Inspired by his mother’s journey with ovarian cancer, Patrick founded the Dempsey Center in 2008 to provide free integrative support services and create a place of comfort, support and healing for those affected by cancer. Today, they continue to provide essential care and resources, offering hope and relief to hundreds of individuals and their families.
