In this video, I give you my opinion on the "Hongdian Fountain Pen Converter Ink Cartridge Filler Absorber Suction Tool" I purchased on e-bay a few months ago. [Purchased with my own money and all opinions or mistakes are strictly my own brilliance or foolery.]
This is an interesting tool which caught my eye but then I made a few discoveries I wanted to pass on to you in case you can avoid my mistaken beliefs and make a better purchase or not purchase decision! I can not remember if this was on Adam's channel or one of the newer fountain pen channels where I saw someone use this tool....? Too much time has passed for my brain to recall but the person kindly let me know where to find them. (e-bay)
This tool will be compared to the standard 5 ml Goulet Ink Syringe and also to the new TWSBI spring converter. Mostly for size purposes but also for function and specific function comparison.
If you know more pens this can be used for (it does work as a converter for my Hongdian fude nib fountain pen) or more uses I'd love to hear about it in the comments.
Thank you for watching! Overall, I would not purchase again because I greatly prefer the Goutlet syringe but these are still selling on e-bay and I am sure they are useful in some specific situations perhaps where bulb syringes or ink syringes are harder to come by maybe?
