Sound decoders can add a lot to the model railroading experience. However the available sound decoders can vary considerably in their quality, durability, and prototype accuracy. In this video I'll go over 10 brands of sound decoders, give you my impressions of each, and share with you which ones I use and for which types of locomotives.
