On May 24 at approximately 7:13 p.m., multiple calls were received reporting that a male had been shot and was lying in the roadway at the 10200 block of Sheridan Ave. S in Parkland.
Deputies responded to the scene and immediately began life-saving efforts. Tragically, the 16-year-old victim was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary information indicates the victim was walking with his girlfriend when a vehicle approached and called him over. Suspects in the vehicle robbed the victim of some jewelry, shot him, then fled the scene.
This remains a very active investigation. Anyone with surveillance footage or information about the suspects is asked to contact our office and speak with a detective.
