Homero Aridjis is a writer and environmental activist. He is currently Mexico's Ambassador to UNESCO and has served two stints as President of International PEN. Many of his 39 books of poetry and prose have been translated into a dozen languages. He is the recipient of the Xavier Villaurrutia Prize (Mexico), as well as twice recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowhship
