Geo mat / Geomatting made from the side walls of old rubber tyres. This is an excellent solution to the entrance of a field or a turning area in a field. Within a few months it becomes invisible. Stone can be added as an infill but is not always necessary. The sidewalls can be quickly cut from the tyre with a sharp knife. The geomat is made by using zip ties although you can use galvanised wire. Do not pull to tight! This is effective for many many years and is fun for the farm hands to make.
