Live performances are back in Cedar Point’s Red Garter Saloon with the Homegrown Acoustic-Electric group harmonizing popular country songs.

Another solid performance in the history of the Red Garter Saloon. Live performances are back in the RGS. I may upload videos of a partial set when they performed outdoors at the beginning of the season. Also a set inside the RGS with one of the male performers and the female performer. All of the park’s shows were outdoors during last season’s 2020 pandemic. Both groups consist of Live E! performers. Homegrown plays acoustic-electric guitars that are plugged in. As opposed to having a mic in front of an acoustic guitar or none at all. It’s something different for the RGS. It sounds pretty good. The singers harmonize really well. Cedar Point’s web site calls them a combo. However that’s traditionally a jazz term.
The crowd can be noisy at the start of this show since it’s not a typical loud RGS show. I moved from the back at the beginning of the show to tape it standing near the bar where it’s not so noisy so the camera is a bit shaky but settles down. That POV is similar to my other Red Garter shows sitting at a front table off to the side. I always liked that angle. It gets all of the performers in the frame without having to stand in the back with people’s heads in the way. The set dressing on the stage’s right side is always interesting. The back of the stage also looks great.
