I first visited the Hale Manu home tiki bar several years ago. I've stayed in touch with Mo and Justin and hung out with them at tiki events and music events all over the country. I could never get that first Navy Grog that they served me in their home bar, out of my mind... It is my great pleasure to have them share this recipe with you all. If you can source the exact rums, it'll make a giant difference. Enjoy!

To make the Schmo Bird, you will need:

3/4 oz fresh lime juice
3/4 oz fresh white grapefruit juice
1 oz honey butter syrup
3/4 oz light Puerto Rican rum
3/4 oz dark Jamaican rum
1 oz Demerara rum
1/2 oz Doctor Bird

Mix with pebble ice on high for about 8 seconds. Double strain into a double old fashioned glass over an ice cone.
