This is something I am trying to do myself, so if it fails it is all because of ME, but it is worth a try I think. I am somewhat capable of doing a few things myself.
There was regular carpeting in this room in my basement.I would like to avoid replacing it with indoor outdoor carpeting so I am going to try cleaning the basement floor. I removed the carpeting and cushion and wooden tack strips. There are some nails in the concrete that I need removed, yet (not sure how). Concrete cracks on removing some of the nails. I also removed the tile in the little bathroom. In the main room there is old black glue (mastic) on the floor, and in the bathroom there is stick glue in lots of places. I bought some products to help remove the black and the stickiness and we'll see how it goes. The product to remove black mastic is made out of soybeans, and the videos and comments I read about it, it seems amazing. Before trying it yourself, do some studying and read comments, since they are helpful. Next video I'll show you how I did it, and let you know if it is all good and worth doing
