In this video, I go over some basics of home loans and financing. There are two basic types of loans you are going to run into with banks. If they plan on selling the loans to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, then the guidelines will be the same regardless of the bank you go to. If the bank plans on keeping the loan in their portfolio, then the guidelines will be different per bank. Lastly, if you do not want to use banks then private lending should be an option for you. "Raising Private Capital" by Matt Faircloth is a great book to begin learning how that process works.
