I finally found a way to stop wrestling with messy YAML files for my infrared devices. Home Assistant has officially rolled out native support for IR proxies,and it's a massive upgrade. By using simple ESPHome-based transmitters,I can now control all my legacy tech through a unified,official platform rather than relying on fragmented scripts and forum hacks. This shift brings actual structure to something that used to be a headache to set up.
