🏛️ We’re continuing our Historic Preservation Month celebration with another standout in our Model Colony Award video series — Holt x Palm!
📍Located at Palm Ave. & Transit St., this one-story commercial building dates back to the early 20th century and has been thoughtfully restored by its current owners, who brought new life to a long-vacant space.
✨ Recipient of the 2023 Model Colony Rehabilitation Award, the project included:
🔹 Exterior restoration with a fresh plaster finish & paint
🔹 Window and door replacements that match original styles
🔹 Reopened historic storefronts guided by original architecture
🔹 New mural, updated systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
🔹 Expanded retail & office space and public right-of-way upgrades
🏁 Once home to Citrus Motors, Woodfin Motors, Todd-Booth, and Raven Brothers Auto Painting, this building is now a shining example of how preservation and revitalization go hand in hand.
👏 Huge thanks to the Mia and Damien Melle who acquired the site in 2021 and invested in honoring its past while building for the future.
