In Searching, David Kim must find his missing teenage daughter, Margot, before the crucial first 48-hours are up. In order to find his daughter, he must go searching through the most unfamiliar and dangerous place for a parent – his daughter’s social media accounts. In Searching, tech is both at the heart of the problem and also the tool used to reunite father and daughter. Some of the world’s most exciting technological advances have had unintended consequences on vulnerable minors. Cyber safety is now a legitimate concern of the modern parent.
