Day 5 at Disney World, Jan. 9, an epic day at Hollywood Studios. We got through my whole checklist of rides and shows to experience thanks to the Genie+ pass, which I highly recommend if you want to get through a lot.
Highlights include:
1. Eating all-you-can-eat BBQ at the new Roundup Rodeo restaurant, which we didn’t realize was all you can eat when we booked the reservation. Also everyone in the restaurant freezes when Andy shows up.
2. Finding out my hand is the exact same size as George Lucas' hand.
3. We waited over an hour in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance when it broke down, so we were given lightning passes to come back later. We also had lightning passes to the new Slinky Dog Dash coaster (albeit a kiddie coaster, but had to ride it just cause it’s new). So we ended up cramming both in after some nighttime shows, which had us running from Toy Story land to Galaxy’s Edge. We arrived at Rise of the Resistance 3 minutes after the line closed. Fortunately, the cast member was kind enough to let us in, it helped I was wearing a birthday button, really making my day! So we were literally the last ones on, and went through the first part of the experience completely by ourselves, and the ride itself was half empty, so a once in a lifetime experience!
