By now you're probably aware of the HSoB Ultra Patch created by a small team surrounding CrestedPeak9. Naturally I also had some involvement, particularly with system-related tweaks, and most notably, providing the horribly broken Full Rainbow shot type to make the Ultra Patch accessible to people who aren't CreepyNinja.
A day or two ago, WishMakers, creator of Danmakufu ph3 Woo Edition, released a slightly tweaked version of Woo dubbed "DNH Ultra". Every time a script calls a function that creates a bullet, DNH Ultra makes it so that two bullets are created by that function, with the only difference being their speed: the extra bullet moves at what appears to be 50% of the speed of their "parent". Bullets that are spawned with 0 speed apparently gain some sort of "default" speed so that they don't stay on screen forever.
However, there's one major problem with this: due to how Danmakufu works, only one of these bullets is actually accessible in the script's code, meaning that the other bullet retains the properties it was initially spawned with, and cannot be altered whatsoever. This means these extra bullets are limited to the most primitive behaviors a bullet can have. For the most part, this doesn't matter very much, but when bullets have complex movements, or serve special purposes, this creates...very interesting scenarios. You'll quickly see what I mean, as the first boss in the game is already victim to some bullet jankiness.
I wanted to try Double Ultra Extra as well, but unfortunately, Danmakufu didn't want to. It quit on Mumei's eighth spell card.
