Edit: Just now found out that I did this with the normal Needle Blade which is why the fight took so long. I had no idea you could upgrade your weapon (you can do this after beating Widow by going to Bellhart and going to the shop area, jump to the very top where you can enter some buildings, and one of them will give you the option to sharpen your weapon.
