The usual rules are gone, the only thing I kept was no tools. Healing is allowed, and full damage has been restored. Well needed, too.
The one and only (as of now) modded boss in Silksong, and it's unfortunately a very mixed bag. Phase 1 rules, with only very occasional bullshit. It's a great upgrade for the Sinner even if the pins can end up trapping you sometimes with little recourse. The problem is phase 2 (starts at roughly 25% HP remaining), which among other, less troublesome things, ups the speed of the pins considerably. TOO much, IMO. I don't really think you can reliably dodge those and the fight devolves into a race to kill her quick before she sends too many nigh-unavoidable pins your way.

Moss Mother still goes down lightning quick even with effectively double the health. Being a tutorial boss, this is no big surprise. Not much to speak of strategy, you can heal in midair in this game so if you need health simply jump into the air as she passes under. In general, Ive decided not to show healing opportunities in this game because midair heals make it possible to get away with an almost unlimited number of ideas.
Also its kinda funny that Moss Mother, the tutorial boss, has more than a couple things in common with Winged Nosk, one of the very last bosses you ever see in the original game.")

Yet another Barely-A-Boss. Hes got high HP and even a stagger, but no music or any real reward. All you get is a cosmetic trophy, and the journal entry. Just punish any time he swings his sword into the ground and youre good.")

I thought this would be way worse than it was. I was fearing Id have to lift a rule to make this reasonable, turns out primarily melee works just fine and silkspear is actually very capable here.")

Barely-a-boss. It has very low health and only 1 attack. If this gives you trouble this deep into the game, I dont know what to tell you.")

Skipped the waves of enemies that come before (and definitely healed up during that portion) because the boss is hard enough and the runback is terrible, even with the hidden bench. Good fight though, shame about the more frustrating elements surrounding it. Nail arts can be done as he emerges, dont be too aggressive otherwise.")
