This quest seemed intimidating at first, but with late-game abilities it's not that bad. Plus, if you don't rest at a bench, the harder enemies don't spawn, so if you traverse the path from end back to start, killing all of the high-risk enemies, then you're left with an easy jaunt back with the flower.
