Now, if you forgot to make fresh cookies to leave for Santa. I hear the big guy won't mind if he sees Chocolate fudge on that plate this year. The perfect square bite will even fit nicely in those stocks hung above the fire place. But don't hang them to close to the fire we don't want the fudge to melt...So why not try this fun recipe for your family and friends.

Ingredients
2 3/4 cups sugar
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
3 tablespoons butter, plus more for greasing pan
1 cup half-and-half
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup nuts if you prefer

Directions:
Using a pot add sugar, chocolate, 1 1/2 tbs butter, half- and half, and corn syrup.
Over a medium high flame let the mixture come to a temperate of 234 degrees using your candy thermometer.
Take off the stove and add the remaing butter.
Let the mixture cool down to 130 degrees then add the vanilla extract.
Greese an 8X8 pan.
Pour the chocolate mistune in to the pan and let set at room temperature.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
Cute, eat, and enjoy..
