Riikka Kovasin | Holiday Cheer - a set of cards @RiikkaKovasin | Uploaded November 2023 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
A process video showing me create a set of Holiday cards using stamping, masking and gel printing.
I start by cutting some card bases for the cards. I then create masks using the stamps I also use as focal points. I stamp the images also to my center pieces. I cut the masks loose and add them to guard the stamped images and then use small gel printing plates to add a colorful background to each image. I'm using a color palette of classical Christmas colors - red, white and green. After printing I then color the images using inks and a wet brush, some oil-based colored pencils and also paint markers. I finish the cards with some sentiment strips and epoxy dot stickers. After filming I also decided to add some black splashes to the cards to match the black sentiment strip and stamp ink.
Thank you for watching!
