Hole In The Sky is Matt Pfeiffer's dream space that he helped find, found, curate, and build from scratch. He had me over for a week on my initial return to the USA from five years in Hanoi, Vietnam. Matt and I met while both living in the Raddish Collective anarchist Commune in Boulder Colorado.
We screened an early cut of my first documentary at Hole In The Sky. I was impressed and it was an amazing week to reconnect with an old cherished friend.

The true life story behind the film Sissy, by ExJW writer, actor, director, Bonnie Root. She directed a film exposing abuse called Sissy, an award winning film about grooming, regarded as essential viewing to safeguard children from this dangerous reality. Is it love bombing or grooming?
FILM SUMMARY:
Sissy is a girl living on the streets to escape her dysfunctional home. Her mother feels guilty about her daughters situation and has her go on the road with Uncle Charlie, a struggling magician headed through Nevada.

SYNOPSIS:
Sissy is a fourteen year old girl living on the streets to escape her dysfunctional home. Her mother, addicted to good-for-nothing men but carrying some guilt about her daughters situation, has a plan. She arranges for Sissy to go on the road with Uncle Charlie, a struggling, unstable magician headed out on a two-bit tour through Nevada. When the trip begins to deteriorate, so does Charlie. This leaves Sissy even more isolated than she was when she was all alone, and forces her to find the strength she never knew she had.
Sissy, and our full interview, reveal the true life story of her teenage years. Gain a deeper understanding of the films inspiration, rooted in her experience as an abuse victim within the Jehovahs Witnesses and a resulting dysfunctional home.
