Also known as Fist of the North Star, in the Western region in English, this was one of my favorite Japanese animated films back in the days. It was an adaptation of the Manga series of the same name.
In a post apocalyptic world where it's every man for himself, fighting for uncontaminated food and water only the strongest survive.
Ken, a warrior of the wastelands is confronted by his old friend, Shin who falls in love with Ken's fiancee and challenges him to a fight to claim her if he wins. Unfortunately, love has made Ken weak and he loses the fight with Shin and is left for dead.
Meanwhile Ken's oldest brother Raoh goes on a warpath throughout the wastelands conquering everything in his path.
One year later Ken has recovered from his near death battle with Shin. Ken wanders the wastelands in search of his love Yuria and to claim her back from Shin only to see the madness Raoh has left behind in his path in his quest to conquer all and become the supreme being.
This animated film is total badass and if you haven't seen it, you should definitely check it out. It's not an easy film to get but you can probably find it for sale on eBay or Amazon.
I remastered the trailer as best as I could and uploaded it to preserve its memory. :)
