Hixon-Bautista Trail, Red Mountain Lookout, and Alessandro Trail are one of Southern California’s most underrated technical trail systems. Tucked into the San Bernardino National Forest near Bautista Canyon and the San Jacinto Mountains, this ride delivers loose rock, ruts, off-camber lines, elevation gain, and a fun mix of tighter, more technical terrain than many riders expect from this area. The Hixon-Bautista OHV Trail is an official Forest Service route, and Alessandro Trail connects into the same recreation area near Red Mountain OHV Road.
