Hey guys! So this song was immediately a new fav of mine from the first listen. I have been waitingβfor a looong timeβfor one of my favorite Kpop artists to have an original Japanese song that has this kind of vibe! I've always loved songs that sound like this one, sort of like "Kimiga Kuretamono" by Secret Base, that makes me so sad but content at the same time. For me, "Hitori no Yoru" is like a refreshing breather amongst all the more generic Kpop songs I've been listening to these days haha π
Something I noticed about this song is not only is it beautifully composed, the lyrics were beautifully written, as well as, very well delivered. There are genuinely heartfelt lyrics throughout the entire song, but one part that got my attention was the line "Even on the mornings when the air is freezing," sung by Yeonjun. The way he switched from "chest to head back to chest" voice really gave me the impression of "him" imagining the rainy nights, the freezing mornings with the one he is longing for. Sighhhh I don't know, maybe I'm just looking too much into it, but listening to that part really made me realize just how well written and performed this song is.
